Troy and his wife, Shari, have been married 30 years. They raised two kids in their home near 2nd and Coltrane. Shari graduated from Edmond High School and now teaches at Christian Heritage Academy. Her mother was a career educator in the Edmond Public Schools and the teacher of the year at Sequoyah Middle School in 2002.
Troy came to Edmond from his hometown of Poteau to attend college. He’s been here ever since. He graduated from UCO (then Central State) with a Business degree in 1986. Troy was a member of three UCO national champion wrestling teams, and he continues to compete in triathlons.
Troy has spent a lifetime working in the tech and telecommunication sectors here in central Oklahoma. He currently works as a Senior Account Manager for Chickasaw Telecom. He’ll use his experience in communications and information technology to help modernize state government and deliver improved efficiency and outcomes for taxpayers.
For over 33 years, Troy has been a member of Henderson Hills Baptist Church, serving in many ministry capacities. He is a longtime Deacon and leader of small group Bible studies. At the Capitol, Troy’s decisions will always be guided by his Christian faith.
As with his entire life, Troy’s service in the State House will be defined by his faith, his commitment to family and community, and his strong conservative principles.
Troy will fight to protect the unborn, defend religious liberty and Second Amendment rights, support our veterans, reduce taxes and government overreach, stand up for parents, teachers and students, and back strong law enforcement for a safer community.
He will oppose taxpayer benefits to illegal immigrants and work to limit the growing welfare culture in our society, requiring recipients to work and be drug tested.
Troy will promote economic opportunity for Oklahoma families and small businesses and ensure that Edmond remains a beacon of freedom and prosperity.
